41st Conference of the Anatomical Society of Southern Africa (ASSA)

It gives us great pleasure to announce the hosting of the 41st ASSA CONFERENCE by the DISCIPLINE OF CLINICAL ANATOMY (DOCA) in the SCHOOL 

OF LABORATORY MEDICINE & MEDICAL SCIENCES (LM&MS), COLLEGE OF HEALTH SCIENCES, UNIVERSITY KWAZULU NATAL (UKZN).

The conference will be held from the 20-24th April 2013 at the Graduate School of Business & Leadership (GSBL) on the Westville Campus, University of KwaZulu-Natal (take a tour of UKZN)

The programme consists of two half-day afternoon pre-conference symposia on Saturday 20th  April 2013 (Clinical Anatomy Interest Group) and Sunday 21st April 2013 (Forensic Anthropology Interest Group). These are to be held at the GBS&L. These will be followed by a two-and-a-half day academic programme from Monday 22nd  to Wednesday 24th April 2013 at the GBS&L. A parallel technical training programme will be conducted on Monday 22nd April 2013.

The ASSA Council Meeting will be held on the Sat 21st April 2013 at the GBS&L from 5.30 -7.30 pm, and the ASSA AGM, together with the Prize Giving, will be held on Wed 24th April 2013 after the academic programme at the GBS&L from 12.30 to 2pm.

Deadline for abstracts 28 February 2013 and only under certain circumstances will late submissions be considered.

Kindly note, transport to and from the symposia and the academic programme will be arranged for everybody at the beachfront hotels and the B&B in Westville
